Recurrent Nature

 ... Journal Entry

As the seasons go round it's once again that time of year, beloved by photographers in the northern hemisphere, Autumn. Season of the glorious colourful change in the leaves of the deciduous trees, of the spectacular display of reds, golds, yellows and bronzes as the leaves begin to fall, the presage of Winter.

Every year it cycles round and every year it brings that same sense of wonder at the beauty of nature and the desire to bathe in its glory.

It is time to get out the camera and wander the woods to grab the fleeting moments arboreal splendour before it all falls away into the sad bare branched days of Winter.

So revel in its vibrancy, in its grandeur, in its wonder before it is gone again for another year which will, sadly, be all too soon. "Sic transit gloria mundi" - so passes the glories of the world; like everything seasonal they are but transitory.
