One the things that improves the handling of the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder camera in two distinct ways is the simple side grip.
The grip, which is provided with an extended base plate, screws into tripod mount socket which is located on the bottom far right of the camera. The grip part extends up the right front of the camera greatly improving the grasp of the camera body for the right hand. So far so good.
The base plate extends just far enough along the base of the camera to provide a new tripod mount aligned perfectly central with the lens mount, which is ideally where you would want it to be anyway. Yay, even better!
For me this is an essential accessory and I have one permanently attached to each of my ZI cameras.
